Our clients, an innovative and forward-thinking business in Manchester, are seeking an Mergers and Acquisitions Associate (M&A Associate) to join their team. This is an opportunity to join an expanding division, supporting entrepreneurs and businesses across the UK. The role will involve working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working closely with Business owners, Investors and Senior Dealmakers. Working hours: Full Time Monday – Friday (hybrid working available) The successful Mergers and Acquisitions Associate will be offered: Basic salary £40,000 - £50,000 OTE £55,000 - £65,000 Career Progression opportunities Mergers and Acquisitions Associate requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience if you hold an ACA, ACCA, CFA or similar qualification, or 5 years’ experience in valuations, corporate finance, or a related field if not qualified. Strong financial analysis and modelling skills (Excel and/or valuation software). Experience preparing or reviewing business valuations, ideally within M&A, corporate finance, or accountancy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach. As a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate your role will involve: Conduct business valuations using a variety of methodologies (DCF, market comparables, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches). Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support deal negotiations. Analyse financial statements and business performance to identify key value drivers. Draft professional valuation reports and client presentations. Support due diligence processes and assist with transaction execution. Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities within the existing client base.
