Supervising the running of the kitchen and staff and providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.Key responsibilities:Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plansDirect and/or supervise other employees Order supplies and store deliveriesMaintain records and stock controlMaintain agreed standards and associated documentation in relation to food and kitchen hygieneWhat we are looking for:Experience of large-scale catering Knowledge of food service and catering in generalOrganisational, cost control and supervisory skillsRecognised supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirableWorking Hours/Days:Monday to FridayTerm time only25 hours per week, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptakePlus 4 cleaning days per year.This position is part time and term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro – rata basis.The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
