TECHNICAL BUYERLocation: DudleySalary: £42,000 per annumReports to:Department: Purchasing / EngineeringWe are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Technical Buyer to join a team in Dudley. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, products, and engineering services required to support our customers and internal operations.If you have strong purchasing experience within an engineering or MRO environment and enjoy negotiating, problem-solving, and building supplier relationships, we want to hear from you.The RoleAs a Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing goods, materials, and services essential for our production and service operations. Your responsibilities will include:" Outsourcing products and engineering services to support our customer base" Ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of goods and services" Monitoring delivery schedules to meet customer requirements" Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors" Analysing market trends to secure competitive pricing" Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms" Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies" Managing inventory levels and ensuring stock availability" Coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth material flow" Updating and maintaining accurate purchasing records and data" Ensuring all activities comply with procurement policies and regulationsSkills & Qualifications" Strong purchasing/buying experience, ideally within engineering or MRO" Experience in the commercial engineering sector" Solid understanding of procurement and supply chain processes" Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings" Strong Excel and general IT skills" Confident negotiating and supplier management skillsEducation & Experience" GCSE or equivalent" Previous experience in a technical or engineering purchasing roleWhy Join Us?"
