Role: Band 5 Paediatric Audiologist Location : Boston Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 per annum About the Role: Pulse have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join our team at in Boston. In this role, you will provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service to all Audiology patients, with a particular focus on paediatric care. You will work as part of a small, developing team to deliver high-quality clinical services, including both behavioural and objective hearing assessments for children of all ages, and fitting hearing aids where appropriate. Key Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities include providing diagnostic and rehabilitation services to children and adults with learning disabilities, additional disabilities, or special needs. You are expected to maintain continuous professional development, clinical supervision, and training of junior staff members. Managing your own caseload and creating individual rehabilitation plans for each patient is also a crucial part of your role. Establishing a good rapport with patients of all ages is essential, as it helps gain their cooperation in clinics and encourages self-management at home. You will take accurate ear impressions in both children and adults and verify hearing aid prescriptions for paediatric patients and adults using probe tube microphone measurements. You will work in one or more specialist areas, with a particular interest in paediatric audiology. Additionally, you should be flexible to support other areas such as audio vestibular testing, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties, dementia care, hearing therapy, and adult rehabilitation Requirements: BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) or equivalent. Professional registration with HCPC or RCCP/AHCS. Specific experience in paediatric audiology is highly beneficial. Proficiency in diagnostic audiology and rehabilitative services for children. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and their families. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
