Job Title: Adult Learning Disabilities Manager – Learning DisabilitiesLocation: South TynesideRate: £202.00 (per day) An exciting job role has recently become available at the South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for an Adult Learning Disabilities Manager. What will your responsibilities be? You will handle complex cases involving multiple social or health needs and intricate care arrangements. You will work with individuals in crisis, making urgent support arrangements and decisions regarding mental capacity and the Mental Health Act. Your role includes supporting community-based treatment and arranging effective discharge pathways, fostering community connections, housing, and discharge plans. You will conduct Safeguarding Adults Enquiries and contribute to the improvement of Adult and Integrated Care Services. You will engage in peer support, attend relevant training and development activities, and maintain up-to-date knowledge for registration. You will participate in reflective supervision and appraisal through Employee Performance Management and provide day-to-day support to less experienced staff.
