An opportunity has arisen for an empathetic Band 8a Occupational Therapist to be welcomed into our clients NHS community service based in Stockport, Cheshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week for an ongoing period of 1 year. As a Band 8a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping children and young adults achieve their full potential by providing top-quality occupational therapy services. The postholder will be conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities as well as developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to address children’s specific needs. Applying therapists should have previous paediatric experience to be considered for this role. Some duties within this post will include: Ensuring that young people are prepared for the transition to adult life Fine motor assessments Managing own caseload efficiently Treating patients with complex needs, learning difficulties or biomechanical problems Liaising with other healthcare professionals Skills and experience needed: Relevant degree/qualifications in occupational therapy Current HCPC registration Previous experience working within a Paediatric service – Ideally NHS Encouraging attitude Ability to think outside the box Be compassionate and empathetic Good team work skills What next?
