Automation Test Lead

Our client seeks an Automation Test Lead to develop frameworks for Automated Regression testing across multiple platforms, including Salesforce, cloud-based ERP (LN), and Siemens PLM. This role aims to minimise the impact of regression due to new code, configurations, or data changes, working closely with managed service providers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Framework Development: Develop Automated Regression testing frameworks and expand test coverage across products such as Salesforce, cloud-based ERP (LN), legacy systems, vehicle configuration (MHP), and Siemens PLM. Test Automation: Create, debug, and maintain automated regression test scripts to ensure thorough testing of UI, API, configuration, and databases. Documentation & Reporting: Document and summarise test results, investigating failures for accurate defect reporting. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Business Process Centre of Excellence (CoE), Test Leads, and Business Analysts to identify candidates for automation. Code Understanding: Understand code functionality and integrations, ensuring test plans are valid and effective. Business Process Insight: Understand business processes, review specifications, and validate requirements through Proof of Concept (PoC) testing. SaaS Technology: Work with test framework providers to ensure comprehensive test coverage in SaaS environments. Performance Testing: Develop strategies for performance testing with a strong understanding of the architectural landscape.

Qualifications & Experience:

Automation Expertise: Experience in creating automated regression frameworks using tools like Selenium, Specflow, or Cucumber. Testing Methodologies: Knowledge of BDD, TDD, ATDD, and experience in automated Unit, Integration, and cross-browser testing. CICD & DevOps: Familiarity with CICD practices and tools, including Azure DevOps. Agile Experience: Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies. ERP Testing: Experience in testing ERP applications. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, working effectively with developers, Business Analysts, and IT Leads.
