Cpl Healthcare is seeking expressions of interest/CV applications for a Locum Stroke Consultant vacancy for a London based Trust for a 6 month locum with a view to be extended.The trust will consider paying up to £130 per hour for an experienced consultant. Below is a breakdown of what your expected earnings will look like over the 6 month period (before tax and NI deductions): Per week: £5,200 Per month (4 week): £20,800 For the 6 months: £135,200 Please note: The above breakdown does not include any on call commitments, which will add additional earnings on to the amount stated. Details of the role are provided below: A full time (10 PA) post as a consultant stroke physician has become available at a London based Trust for a 6 month locum post with a view to be extended. You will be expected to work primarily at the main site, but there will be service commitments to other hospitals within the Trust. A CCT in Stroke Medicine is desirable but not essential, providing a candidate has sufficient experience in acute stroke and a CCT in a ‘parent speciality’ such as Geriatric Medicine, Acute Medicine, or Neurology. Below is an idea of what a typical weekly job plan will look like, however the department are flexible and would consider feedback from applicants: AM PM Monday Ward round (1 PA) SPA ( PA) Admin ( PA) Tuesday TIA New clinic 9-1 (1 PA) Regional stroke CPD meeting 1-2pm ( SPA) Admin ( PA) Wednesday Stroke follow up clinic (1 PA) Neuroradiology MDT 1-2pm ( PA) Ward MDT meeting and ward reviews ( PA) Thursday On-call every other week. On site 8am – 6pm ( PAs). Friday Ward round (1PA) Admin ( PA) SPA ( PA) Out of hours on-call PAs (one in eight weekdays and weekends) Flexible Flexible SPA ( SPA) Ward rounds/MDT meetings PA’s OPC PA’s Daytime on-call PA’s Out of hours on-call PA’s Admin PA’s Neuroradiology MDT PA’s SPA SPA Total 10 PA In addition to the above, we have a variety of Stroke/Elderly Care Consultant roles across the UK if London is not your preferred location of work.
