Our client is a leading logistics company that specialises in chilled distribution. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for order picking in a chilled environment. You will work 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with weekend working required. The rota will be well in advance, so you can plan your life around your work.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 10% discount on shopping when you become a permanent member of staff. Set shift 1400-2200 We also offer pay rises at 12 weeks and 27 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Order picking: You will be responsible for picking orders accurately and efficiently from the chilled warehouse using a handheld scanner. Attention to detail is key, as you will need to ensure the correct product and quantity are picked.
Quality control: You will be responsible for checking the quality of the products you are picking, making sure they are in good condition and meet the company's standards.
Stock replenishment: You will be responsible for replenishing stock as required, ensuring that the warehouse is kept in a tidy and organised manner.
Health and safety: You will be responsible for following health and safety procedures at all times, including wearing the correct PPE and reporting any hazards or incidents to your supervisor.
Teamwork: You will be part of a team of warehouse operatives, and you will be expected to work closely with your colleagues to ensure that all orders are picked and dispatched on time.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Good communication skills, as you will need to work closely with your colleagues and supervisors. Good attention to detail, as you will be responsible for picking orders accurately. Ability to work under pressure, as the warehouse can be a fast-paced environment. Good organisational skills, as you will need to keep the warehouse tidy and organised.

Pay:

1400-2200 shift: rising to after 12 weeks and after 27 weeks Overtime available paid between and per hour
