Anti Money Laundering Policy and Standards Oversight AVP

Join us as an AVP AML Policy and Standards Oversight where you will have authorship of AML Standards requirements, incorporating jurisdictional / local uplifts as required. You will act as a point of escalation for Business Oversight Compliance, Divisional and Regional coverage teams to support on AML Standards queries.You will thematically oversight of adherence to AML Standard requirements and the effectiveness of the AML Control Environment, including thematic oversight of CDD Customer Risk Assessment. You will manage the dispensations, waivers and breaches process, including assessing, granting and monitoring exemptions. You will define and maintain associated KRIs for monitoring adherence across each of the Standards and you will support the impact assessment of changes to laws, regulations and guidance on the AML control framework including impact on Policy and Standards.To be successful as AVP AML Policy and Standards Oversight the ideal candidate must have experience in:Second line of Defence AML Oversight at SME level in AML regulationsAssessing impact of regulatory changes and updating standards with knowledge of AML risk typologiesStrong risk management capabilityExperience drafting Policy and/or Standard requirementsAbility to work independently with a proactive, self-starting approach-comfortable taking ownership and driving initiatives forward in a fast-paced, evolving environmentThis role is based in Glasgow with 3 anchor days in the office Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. Purpose of the roleTo develop, implement and maintain Risk policies and standards across various business lines and risk types, working collaboratively with Senior Management across the organisation to develop and execute risk management practices that support the achievement of the Bank's strategic objectives.AccountabilitiesDevelopment of policies, standards and guidance, soliciting feedback from stakeholders across the Bank to deliver an approach that meets regulatory requirements, maintains the integrity of the Framework design and is practical and achievable for the organisation to implement and operate.Management of the Annual Refresh cycle for Frameworks, Policies and Standards, ensuring analysis of emerging risks and regulatory changes are identified, and the needs for new or updated policies are updated within the set timeframe.Impact assessments to ensure policies and standards can be implemented in adherence with set timeframes. Investigation and addressing of policy violations or potential issues and ensuring the dispensation, waiver and breaches process in invoked where required.Implementation and the execution of the Barclays Control Framework that align to Risk Policies, including engagement with the Chief Controls Office and monitoring adherence across the organisation.Management of key stakeholders in response to transformation projects, ad-hoc requests, regular dialogue and training and education.Maintenance of Framework components to ensure a clear lineage from Laws, Rules and Regulations through policies, standards and controls. Complete periodic Control Assessments, reviewing the design and operating effectiveness.Maintenance of a centralised repository of all risk policies and standards.Implementation of control lineage processes, responsible for approving controls mapped to control requirements within polices and standards.Assistant Vice President ExpectationsTo advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
