Production Planner

Join our team as a Production Planner and be an integral part of our client's manufacturing operations. As a Production Planner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that customer orders are delivered on time and within budget. Your strong organisational skills and attention to detail will drive our client's production planning and scheduling efforts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Shop Floor Supervisor to allocate work efficiently and meet customer-required dates. Your ability to develop and manage daily/weekly production schedules will be instrumental in aligning manufacturing capacities with customer demands. Additionally, you will oversee material and component control, ensuring the smooth flow of materials through production and subcontractors to final customer delivery. To thrive in this role, you must have strong communication skills, as you will be the main point of contact for customers. Your ability to establish effective relationships and provide excellent customer service will be critical to the success of our client's operations. You should also be numerate and have a good understanding of numbers and calculations. While previous experience in a mechanical or machine shop environment is desirable, it is not essential for this role. However, previous experience in production control within a manufacturing environment will be advantageous. Proficiency in Excel is also necessary to excel in this role.
