Groundworks Quantity Surveyor – Newton AbbotI am working with a family-run Groundworks & Plant Hire company, based in Newton Abbot and operating across the South West, who are looking to appoint a Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their friendly and supportive team.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender documentationManage project costs from feasibility through to completionAssess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotationsDemonstrate strong understanding of contract administrationConduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost efficiencyPrepare progress reports, valuations and final accountsSupport Project Managers to ensure commercial successManage tender enquiriesMaintain accurate databases of rates, suppliers and cost informationRequirementsProven QS experience within groundworks/civilsStrong knowledge of cost control principlesExcellent analytical, negotiation and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and tools such as BluebeamAbility to work under pressure and meet tender deadlinesFull UK driving licenceBenefitsSalary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOECompany pensionCompany carOpportunity to join a close-knit, family-run businessOur Commitment to InclusionAs a recruitment agency, we are committed to promoting inclusive opportunities on behalf of our clients.
