Job Description24 hour Breakdown HGV/LCV Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic: Our client is a leading LCV/HGV dealership that is looking to recruit a 24 hour Breakdown Technician / Mechanic. Our client operates a large Main Dealer for LCVs and you will be providing breakdown assistance across the Tonbridge, Crawley, Robertsbridge, Dunton Green and Maidstone areas. You will be required to collect your van at the start of your shift, but you have to drop it off when you’re not on call. Breakdown Vehicle Technician Role; You will be required to assist with breakdowns, to carry out servicing and maintenance repairs at the roadside Identify and diagnose vehicle faults using a logical and efficient method to ensure first time fix is achieved. Communicate well with Customers, colleagues and Service Administration Complete all necessary paper work in-line with company guidelines and manufacturer warranty procedures Breakdown Vehicle Technician requirements; You will be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician with Roadside / breakdown experience Qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 of equivalent Experienced in Vehicle Diagnostics Appropriate driving licence for class of vehicle Location: Tonbridge & covering Crawley, Robertsbridge, Dunton Green and Maidstone Package: up to £20 per hour depending on experience (includes shift premium). + Use of the 24hr Service Van. Hours: When not “On-Call”: You’d be working in the dealership, 8 am – 5pm Monday to Friday. When “On-Call”: Must be available to work on a rota basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (paid at overtime rate outside of normal hours) This role also offer a retainer whilst on call:
