An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior band 6 Occupational therapist to join an established and expanding team to work in acute and rehabilitation services. The Trust is a well know healthcare service provider in London. Description: As a Band 6 occupational therapist you will benefit from peer support and supervision programs as well as access to multi-professional clinical specialists in a range of clinical areas. You will have opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills and knowledge. You will also be encouraged to be involved in service development, research, and audit, and supervise both students and junior staff, developing your teaching and leadership skills. The multi-disciplinary therapy team provides a high-quality therapy service over seven days. You will be required to participate in a weekend rota aligned to your clinical area which involves working a weekend shift once approximately every six weeks with compensatory rest days. Skills: Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions. Ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation and discharge plans. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Working as part of a MDT team within a clinical environment. Delegation to support staff. Experience of general assessment and intervention with patients in a physical setting (e.g. medical, surgical, trauma and orthopaedics and neurology patients).
