Interviews are being undertaken via MS Teams. CCC is working flexibly and working from the office on a rota basis/as required for meetings, normally one/two days per week/as agreed by the Manager. Face to face visits continue to be undertaken Ensure a high standard of clinical care to young people with learning disabilities and or autism, their families, and their networks based on the principles of Positive Behaviour Support. Promote and model the core values of PBS within the service and across all settings relevant to children and young people with learning disabilities. To assist in the assessment of children’s complex needs as a member of the multi-disciplinary PBS team under supervision/ guidance from clinicians within the team. Team assessments include detailed functional analysis, risk assessment, systemic analysis (e.g. through the use of chronologies, genograms and eco maps), physical health, pain, sleep, assessment of functional skills and learning needs, sensory, communication assessments. To collaboratively review own work regularly with senior clinicians within the team. With the support and guidance of colleagues, to contribute to the assessment of risk and protective factors. Respond to child protection concerns which arise in the course of the work, in line with child protection procedures and guidance. To implement individual intervention plans developed by PBS clinicians in order to embed the Positive Behaviour Support Plan across home, school, community and respite settings as directed by a senior member of the team. This may include discrete skills teaching as directed by a senior member of the team. Develop resource materials (e.g. visuals, sensory activities) to support the delivery of clinical interventions within a PBS framework. To work both autonomously, and jointly with PBS team colleagues in a range of settings including working in people’s homes, schools, overnight short breaks provisions, and community settings. Plan and prioritise own clinical workload with guidance and support from senior clinicians as required. To report workload pressures appropriately. Communicate and liaise effectively with families, and relevant professionals working in health, care, and education settings. Work closely with children and young people who may challenge in terms of aggressive or self-injurious behaviour, may have limited communication skills, and may have unusual physical and mental health needs. Manage exposure to distressing and emotionally charged circumstances, and maintain rapport across the family and professional network where there may be significant differences of approach and opinion. Record and report back accurately and fully on assessments and interventions undertaken; to monitor young person’s progress and to alert qualified staff of the need to change therapeutic input and interventions. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in keeping with PCC/ CCC protocols. Identify and access CPD and training opportunities that are relevant to the demands of the post, using the appraisal and evaluation of professional practice processes. To contribute to delivery of PBS training to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of relevant stakeholders in working with young people who have behaviour which challenges and the use of Positive Behaviour Support.  Provide advice, guidance, and support, both formally and informally to families and professionals as directed by senior members of the team. To attend appropriate child review meetings (e.g. EHCP, CiC, CIN). To contribute verbally and feedback on the PBS team written reports at these meetings. Encourage, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, parents, carers and others involved in working with children with challenging behaviour. Work in ways which are sensitive to social difference. This includes working in ways that reflect the wide range of abilities to understand the therapeutic process. Take a proactive stance in challenging discrimination and support the development of a culturally competent service. Other relevant duties as discussed with the PBS Lead.
