The organisation is widely recognised for enabling student opportunity and delivering an outstanding customer experience in the efficient delivery ofernment education finance policies.Your new roleAs amercial Specialist, you will engage and influence stakeholders both internally and externally to develop and lead end-to-end strategic procurement andmercial activities. You’ll be responsible for managing the lifecycle of contracts, supporting negotiations, and ensuring value for money. The role involves providingmercial and contract management advice, promoting goodmercial practice, and supporting both colleagues and business partners. You’ll also contribute to the development ofmercial strategies,pliance, and continuous improvement within the procurement function. What you'll need to succeedKnowledge of The Public Contract Regulations 2015.Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships,municate effectively, and resolve issues.Strongmercial and contract management skills, including data analysis and market engagement.Experience in interpreting contractual arrangements, managing controls and approvals, and maintaining robust records.Familiarity with procurement regulations, processes, and tools to deliver tailored contracts with KPIs and SLAs.Excellent written and verbalmunication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.Experience working in a public sector procurement environment, including above-thresholdmercial activity and contract management.Experience working in a matrix environment.Desirable: Mentoring, coaching, and team management skills; MCIPS accreditation or working towards CIPS accreditation, or equivalent experience.What you'll get in returnFlexible working options available.
