Mental Health Assistant – Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire – Immediate Start Do you have experience supporting children with mental health challenges? Are you a Psychology Graduate seeking your first step into a mental health-focused role? A fantastic primary school in Bradley Stoke is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. They are seeking someone who is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, or other Special Educational Needs (SEN). In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in supporting the well-being and development of pupils, while receiving excellent support from the school team. About the Role: The school is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to work closely with pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) who require a resilient and patient approach. Additionally, there is an opportunity to support a pupils with ASD and ADHD, who is part of a small group with complex needs. Your responsibilities may include: * Supporting children’s behaviour and learning in the classroom. * Helping children understand and follow the teacher’s instructions. * Providing 1:1 support for individual learners or working with small groups in the Learning Support department. * Tracking and recording pupil progress to assist with their development.
