Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a confidential client to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a fixed-term 6-month assignment.This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional with a strong background in manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments, who is ready to make an immediate impact by embedding directly into operational teams and driving stability across people processes.The Role:This is a hands-on, embedded HR role focused on supporting front-line manufacturing leadership. You'll take on key HR responsibilities-allowing operational leaders to focus on critical business performance areas such as safety, quality, and output.Reporting to the Chief People Officer, with a strong dotted line to operational leadership, your remit will include day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, performance tracking, and supporting a transition to a more digital, manager-led model.Key Responsibilities:Manage attendance, absence tracking, return-to-work processes, and payroll inputAdminister holiday and leave schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periodsSupport sickness absence management, including occupational health referrals and phased returnsDeliver Day 1 onboarding, induction support, and monitor probation periodsLog and escalate performance and conduct issues, supporting formal processes where necessaryMaintain training records and ensure compliance with mandatory trainingEnsure HR system accuracy and support data readiness for new HR tech rolloutBe a visible HR presence on the shop floor, relaying feedback and supporting engagement initiativesChampion policy consistency, support compliance checks, and maintain HR documentationCandidate Profile:Minimum 2 years' HR experience in an industrial/manufacturing/distribution settingConfident managing absence, ER cases, and weekly payroll processesComfortable working onsite in a fast-paced operational environmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with both leadership and frontline teamsProactive, detail-oriented, and confident using HRIS systemsAdditional Info:This is not a coaching or advisory role-it requires someone who can immediately take ownership of operational HR tasksThe role is 100% onsite and aligned with operational shift hoursYou'll play a critical role in supporting a digital HR systems transition during the contractRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
