Robert Half Finance & Accounting are supporting an unique and interesting business based in central Bath who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team for a period of 6 months, with potential of extension. This is on a fixed term contract basis and has hybrid working. Role: Accounts Assistant Salary: Up to £30,000 Duration: 6 month fixed term contract Start date: January 2026 Responsibilities:Maintaining accounts payable ledgerMaintaining accounts receivable ledger Processing of creditor payments inclusive of multiple payment streams (multiple banks and payment agents) and where applicable foreign currenciesProject Accounting - processing and coding accurately to correct projects, ensuring project balances reconcile Variance reportsLiaising with project financial operations and external contractors Month End: Assisting in preparation of journal entries, accruals, journals, prepaymentand other month end inputsAssistance in any month end reconciliations requiredSkills/Experience needed:Strong understanding and proven experience sales & purchase ledger as a minimumExperience of working in a professional services environment - Desirable Proficient in Excel - VLOOKUP's, pivot tablesAbility to work in a fast paced environmentExperience with assisting with month end, international accounts & multi-currencies - DesirableStudying/Studied AATHigh attention to detailAbility to prioritise tasks wellRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
