About the Role As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviewsLeading treatment planning and clinical decision-makingSupporting junior medical staff and MDTsLiaising with community services and external partnersWe are looking for consultant psychiatry cover for the community older people's mental health team. This will be covering a functional and organic caseload. Covering out patient psychiatry and providing some memory assessment team input providing in assessment, treatment and risk assessment. This will mostly be clinic based, but there will be some home visits. The person will support the wider multi disciplinary team and support ongoing case management of people with acute or complex MH needs. The person will liaise with our crisis home treatment team and inpatient ward colleagues as required.What We're Looking For Essential:MBBS or equivalent medical degreeFull GMC registration with a licence to practiseSection 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration processExperience in adult mental health settingsUK Right to WorkA flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach Desirable:CCT in Old Age Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it) Locations Available We're recruiting for locum roles across the UK, including:Greater LondonMidlandsNorth West & North East EnglandSouth East & South West EnglandScotlandWalesLet us know your preferred region and availability, and we'll match you with the right opportunity.
