Known for their collaborative approach andmitment to innovation, they are currently delivering a major refurbishment and new build programme on a secureernment site in Wiltshire. The project forms part of a wider framework agreement and is set to run for approximately two years. Your new role As Design Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the design process from preconstruction through to delivery. Working closely with the Architects and Project Manager on the project, you’ll manage consultant and subcontractor design teams, coordinate technical reviews, and ensure timely delivery of design information for procurement and construction. The scheme includes new build elements using precast concrete structures, extensive MEP installation, and fire safety upgrades to existing buildings — all within a secure perimeter. Key responsibilities include:Chairing design team meetings and managing design deliverablesLiaising with architects, consultants, and internal construction teamsEnsuringpliance with client requirements, buildability, and current legislationIdentifying opportunities for value engineeringSupporting planning applications and engagement with local authoritiesWhat you'll need to succeed You’lle from a permanent Design Manager background, ideally within the public sector — such as education, healthcare, or justice — and have experience working with Tier 1 contractors.
