Software Engineer (C#, Java, Server-Side Development)Location: Belfast/Hybrid Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceAbout the RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong skills in C#, Java, and server-side development to join a global fintech company. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing robust server-side products that power secure, scalable business solutions. Key Responsibilities·Understand and respond to customer needs and requirements, delivering effective technical solutions·Design and develop server-side applications using C#, Java, and web technologies·Work with database technologies to build efficient and reliable back-end systems·Identify opportunities to improve processes and simplify existing methods·Analyse problems and evaluate potential solutions, communicating findings clearly and concisely·Collaborate with team members to ensure deliverables are technically accurate and delivered on time·Contribute to project planning, estimation, and progress tracking·Participate in software deployment activities and provide production support as required·Assist with mentoring junior developers and supporting team development·Contribute to recruitment and onboarding activities, including technical interviewsEssential Skills & Experience·BSc or MSc in Computer Science (or equivalent experience in software development)·Strong commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language·Proven experience in server-side product development·Good understanding of database design and development·Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, refactoring, and design patterns·Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities·Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure·Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team·Eligible to work in the UK on a full-time, permanent basisDesirable Skills·Experience in a senior or lead role within a software development team·Knowledge of web client development, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS·Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
