EYFS Autism Teaching Assistant – Peterlee Location: Peterlee Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start Date: Immediate Pay: £89–£120 per day (depending on experience)Do you love helping little learners find their rhythm? We’re looking for a caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children with autism in a nurturing early years setting in Peterlee.You’ll be part of a brilliant team creating a calm, structured environment where every child can thrive. From sensory play to speech development, no two days will ever be the same – and you’ll be right there making each one meaningful.What you’ll be doing: Supporting pupils with autism to engage in classroom activities Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored learning plans Creating sensory-friendly and inclusive spaces for learning Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and joy in their learning What we’re looking for: Experience supporting children with autism (in EYFS or similar settings) A calm, patient, and positive attitude Someone who can bring creativity and warmth to every task Drivers welcome – it’s an easy commute if you’re happy to travel What you’ll get from us: Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella companies Free access to our online CPD Academy Support from your local SEND consultant who knows the schools inside out If you’re ready to make every small step count, we’d love to hear from you.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
