About the role Residential Children’s Support WorkerVision for Education have partnered with a Residential Children’s home in the Yeovil area, to provide excellent Residential Children Support Workers who have both SEND Education experience and Care experience. In joining our supply register, you will be given the opportunity to work as a Residential Children’s Support Worker and a SEND Teaching Assistant as skills obtained for both roles are transferable.If you are experienced in either the care or education sector, sign up to our supply register today and make a differencePay: £13.68 per hourHours: This will be your choice of 07:30am – 16:00pm, 15:30pm – 22:00pm or 22:00pm – 08:00amStart date: Immediate start / Flexible daysThe role:This excellent opportunity would be ideal for an experienced teaching assistant or care professional with a strong background in wither setting, who is looking to carry out long term or day to day supply in the Yeovil area. Your role will see you providing support to the students, promoting independence and providing general care as well as personal care. This role can be extremely challenging, but it is also highly rewarding engaging with vulnerable young people, families and other agencies to help them develop and achieve.The setting:All of our Care settings are passionate about providing the best quality of education, care and specialist support for all their pupils and put them at the centre of everything they do. It is important that this is at the forefront of your values also.As non-negotiable requirements for this position, a successful candidate will provide 2 Right to Work documents, 2 Proof of Address’s, a clear Adult and Child Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, sufficient references from all previous care or education related roles, 2 most recent employer references, a detailed work history form dating back to the age of 11 with no gaps, overseas police check (if required).In order to work specifically as a Residential Children’s Support Worker, after clearing for work you must complete an additional 15 training courses related to care. As an investment into our staffs learning and development, Vision for Education offer these training courses free of charge, as we appreciate people who are driven to excel in their career.RequirementsTo be considered for the position of a Residential Children’s Support Worker, you will: Have experience supporting children and or young adults with EBD, ASC, SEMH, PMLD, Challenging Behaviours, Trauma, Learning Difficulties and other related learning needs.Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of specialist care providers.Have a passion for supporting student as well as staff, with the ability to work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis What we offer Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
