A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a well established manufacturing organisation and afford the flexibility to support both ongoing production issues and be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements using lean an Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality throughout their UK facilities.Continuous Improvement EngineerSalary c£45,000 + company car Location: West Midlands based with UK travelTasked with developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies in both manufacturing and company processes, you will collaborate with the operational & engineering team to perform DMAIC activities to eliminate inefficiencies across the business and provide technical guidance to enhance production quality and efficiency. Responsible for monitoring and analysing KPI's to identify areas for improvement and taking corrective action where needed, you will drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimise operations whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing teamKey Responsibilitieso Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.o Apply Lean Manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques such as kaizen, line balancing, and value stream mapping.o Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting quality, productivity, and Right First Time (RFT) outcomes.o Drive the industrialisation of NPI, including tooling, work instructions, and validation plans.o Define and maintain robust process controls, routings, and SOPs.o Provide technical training to production teams and monitor KPIs to drive improvements.About YouApplications are sought from experienced Continuous Improvement Engineers or Lean Manufacturing Engineers with a proven experience gained delivering lean process improvement in a fast paced manufacturing environment o Demonstrate competence utilising lean manufacturing processes and methodologies (process capability (Cp, Cpk), SPC, DMAIC Six Sigma, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen)o Qualified to HND / Degree level (or equivalent) Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline. Formal lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training would be desirable o Excellent influencing and communication skills from shop floor to senior managemento Able to define areas for improvement, measure/collect and analyse data, determine root cause, and select and implement solutions and to achieve sustained outcomes.o You will be results and data driven to improve and sustain change and thrive within a continuous improvement focussed environment.o Full driving licence and able to travel to UK facilities, staying overnight as appropriate.Opportunity: Our client is part of a multinational manufacturing group and they are recognised as leaders in their industrial sector.
