They are committed to delivering high-quality products and fostering innovation.Job DescriptionStrategic LeadershipDefine and execute the R&D strategy for the gummies category in alignment with company objectives.Identify emerging trends, technologies, and ingredients to maintain category leadership and competitive advantage.Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product launches.Product Development & InnovationLead the formulation and development of new gummy products (candy and supplements), focusing on taste, texture, stability, and nutritional integrity.Oversee prototype creation, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies.Ensure scalability of formulations for commercial production while maintaining quality and cost targets.Technical Expertise & ComplianceApply advanced knowledge of hydrocolloids, gelling agents (gelatin, pectin, starch), sweeteners, flavors, and active ingredients.Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards (FDA, EFSA, ASEAN, etc.) for food and dietary supplements.Maintain robust documentation for formulations, processes, and specifications.Team Management & DevelopmentBuild and lead a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to scientists and technologists.Manage resource allocation and project timelines effectively.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to ensure product integrity and operational feasibility.Support procurement in sourcing innovative ingredients and materials.Continuous Improvement & SustainabilityDrive initiatives for clean-label, plant-based, and functional gummies.Implement sustainable practices in formulation and packaging development.The Successful ApplicantMaster's or in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in R&D for candy or dietary supplements in gummy format.Proven track record of successful product launches in gummies category.Strong knowledge of ingredient functionality, process engineering, and sensory science.Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks for food and supplements.Experience with functional gummies (vitamins, botanicals, nutraceuticals).Knowledge of emerging trends such as sugar reduction, plant-based alternatives, and novel delivery systems.Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.Strong project management and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and stakeholder management.
