Trading Underwriter Southampton Competitive Salary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and career driven Underwriter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong relationships with brokers and customers, understanding their fleet insurance needs and using data insights to deliver tailored solutionsYou'll work collaboratively within one of our Southeast underwriting teams, supporting both the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financial targets. Strong organisation and time management skills are essential, as you'll manage your own diary in a fast-paced environment.A bit about the job: Demonstrate a consistent track record of underwriting motor fleet risks Work with insurance brokers and/or customers in the motor trade sector Build and strengthen broker relationships through regular visits and market engagement Mentor and support junior team members Work towards underwriting licence levels appropriate to your job gradeSkills and experience we're looking for: Previous experience in underwriting (Fleet experience preferred but not essential) Ability to assess and analyse fleet risks, and communicate effectively with brokers/customers Strong collaboration skills within a large, complex organisation Good knowledge of FCA and other relevant regulations Commercial acumen to develop and deliver compelling business casesWhat you'll get for this role:Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow - is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
