The role will be based in Preston, however travel will be required across the county as needed. About Us...On 01 April 2020, Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council formed a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA): Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool. Lancashire County Council are the host authority for the RAA, which provides a comprehensive service to families across the region. The RAA delivers the following services on behalf of the partner Local Authorities: Recruitment & Assessment of adopters; Adoption Support & Family Finding.About the role...As a Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker, you will be involved in the recruitment, assessment and support of prospective adopters, until an Adoption Order is granted.Your key duties will involve but are not limited to:Provide Information to prospective adopters, through events.Complete assessments.Deliver training, both pre-approval and post-approval, to adopters ensuring that they are prepared.
