Position: Band 7 Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) Location: London Job Type: Full-time, About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our team and work within an inpatient mental health setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing occupational therapy interventions to individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and contribute to their recovery journey. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ occupational therapy needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote independence and improve functional abilities. Provide support and guidance to patients in activities of daily living, social integration, and vocational pursuits. Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals. Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated care delivery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within a mental health or psychiatric setting. Strong assessment, therapeutic intervention, and care planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to upholding professional standards and adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines. Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.
