Role: Echocardiographer Banding: Band 7 Location: Peterborough Hours: Full-time Start Date: 15/07/2024 Rate: £50 – £55 per hour Duration: 3 months About the role: The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Echocardiographer to join our team in Peterborough. This full-time position which starts on 15th July 2024 and offers a competitive hourly rate of £50 – £55. The role is for a duration of 3 months, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform Echocardiograms: Conduct a variety of echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear explanations and addressing any concerns. Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data, producing detailed reports for referring physicians. Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all echocardiographic equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Training and Development: Mentor junior staff and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant clinical guidelines, protocols, and health and safety regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent. Accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in echocardiography. Desirable: Experience in advanced echocardiographic techniques.
