Oxfordshire, OX3 Zoe Gifford Permanent/Full Time £28, - £30, Job Title: SEMH Teacher Location: Congleton Salary: 28,000 – 30,000 Contract: Full-time, Long-term contract April Start Simply Education is seeking to appoint a SEMH Teacher to work with a group of students who have become disconnected with their learning and have been out of a formal learning environment for several years. As a SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible delivering high-quality bespoke learning opportunities that focus on the students' interests and vocational studies, as well as functional skills in English and Maths. The school is looking to take on Tutors on a permanent basis following the successful completion of an initial trial period. The successful SEMH Teacher will have resilience and be able to model and promote high behaviour expectations. It is vital that you can communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them. Key Responsibilities: - To deliver high-quality bespoke learning opportunities that focus on the students' interests and vocational studies, as well as functional skills in English and Maths. - Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning. - Model and promote high behaviour expectations. - Communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them. - To to Prepare the students for life beyond school. Key Requirements: - An understanding of working with disengaged students. - Knowledge and understanding of vocational education. - Strong communication skills. - Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations. - Ability to inspire and motivate students. - Willingness to learn new skills and techniques. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
