Role Overview You will provide an effective, timely, and high-quality service to clients across a broad spectrum of employment law matters. Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:Settlement agreementsBusiness reorganisations and redundancy processesTUPE adviceUnfair and constructive dismissal claimsEquality and discrimination mattersGrievance and disciplinary issuesAbsence managementACAS Early ConciliationDrafting contracts, policies, and handbooksRestrictive covenantsAchieving annual fee-earning and chargeable hours targetsManaging an agreed caseload in consultation with the Head of DepartmentEnsuring cases are handled efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with firm proceduresPrompt time recording, billing, and collection of outstanding balancesCross-selling services across the firmBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrersUpholding the highest professional and ethical standardsPerson Specification Qualifications & ExperienceQualified Lawyer (Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer)Must have over 2 years’ PQEMinimum two years’ employment law experience (more senior candidates also welcome)Demonstrable ability to build and sustain strong client relationshipsKnowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of employment law and the ability to advise on complex client issuesCommercial awareness with a proactive, client-centred approachExcellent drafting, research, and analytical skillsClear and confident verbal and written communicationExceptional attention to detailAbility to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectivelyProficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft OfficeIf you are an enthusiastic Employment Lawyer looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and family-orientated firm, we would love to hear from you.
