We are recruiting an interim Research Grant Officer to manage the financial operations of a diverse research portfolio at a prestigious London university. The post holder will have the full responsibility for post-award processes.Key responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of research grants and contracts, including claimsCalculate and allocate overheads, indirect, and estates costs to departmentsKeep accurate account reconciliations and handle financial data for reportingGenerate invoices and prepare financial statements for sign-offRespond to queries from departments and credit controlReview monthly exception reports and take corrective actionSupport account reviews and ensure obligations are met before closure Experience required: Experience working in a post award capacity within a higher education settingExperience and knowledge of costing methodologies including FECExcellent numerical skills and the ability to do complex calculations, manipulate and present financial data Hourly rate: - £29Duration: 6 monthsLocation: London (hybrid working with 2 days on site)This vacancy will be actively shortlisted so early applications are encouraged
