Job Title: IT Solution ArchitectLocation: BristolContract: PermanentAbout the Company:Our client is a major organisation delivering large-scale transformation across complex supply chains and logistics environments. They operate in a highly regulated sector and offer a collaborative setting where architects work across modern, multi-technology platforms.Role Overview:We're hiring an IT Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure. You'll guide architectural decisions from requirements capture and high-level design through to implementation and sustainment, ensuring alignment with technical, security, and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end solution architecture across multiple domainsProduce high-level designs, interface specifications, and technical proposalsSupport platform selection and buy vs build evaluationsEnsure compliance with architecture principles, security, and regulatory standardsEngage with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams on technical decisionsEssential Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large, complex programmesStrong background across application, data, integration, and infrastructure architectureSolid knowledge of integration concepts (SOA, ESB, XML, Web Services, MQ)Experience with cloud platforms such as AWSExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDesirable Skills & Experience:Exposure to logistics or supply chain technologyFamiliarity with WMS, TMS, ERP, procurement, or analytics systemsKnowledge of TOGAF, MODAF, or ArchiMateExperience with compliance documentation in regulated environmentsBackground working within CMMI Level 3 environmentsClearance Requirements:BPSS is required to startSC clearance required for the roleIf you're an experienced Solution Architect with a passion for designing large-scale, integrated systems and want to be part of a forward-thinking organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
