Working with them offers the chance to be part of a respected legal practice that treats every client as an individual, with a friendly and supportive team culture.Job DescriptionThe Locum Probate Solicitor will be:Managing probate files and administering estates (grants, full administration, estates with or without wills)Advising executors or administrators on the probate process, estate administration, Inheritance Tax, and related mattersReviewing wills, trusts, and inheritance documentation to ensure compliance and correct executionCommunicating with beneficiaries, executors, HMRC (for tax issues) and other stakeholdersDrafting legal documents including Grant applications, estate accounts, deeds of variation, letters of administrationLiaising with other departments (e.g. conveyancing, trusts) if necessary to support complex estatesMaintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and firm standardsProviding clear, professional client communication and guidance throughout the probate processThe Successful ApplicantThe Locum Probate Solicitor should be:A qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with relevant probate experienceExperienced handling probate, estate administration, grants of probate/letters of administration, Inheritance Tax matters etc.Available immediately for a 1-2 month locum assignmentComfortable working part‑time (3-4 days/week) and able to work in a hybrid modelOrganised, efficient and client‑focused, with strong communication skillsWhat's on OfferCompetitive hourly rate of £50-55 per hour, outside IR35Flexible part‑time working (3-4 days per week)Hybrid working modelOpportunity to work with a well‑established regional firm with broad practice areas and a strong reputationShort‑term locum role with immediate startIf you're an experienced Probate Solicitor, apply now or contact Michael Bailey for more information.
