Job description Art Teacher – Brent River College, Northwest London (Kingsbury, NW9)Start Date: September 2025Contract Type: Long-Term (Temp to Perm)Salary: Paid to Scale (Inner London) Are you a passionate Art Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Brent River College, a “GOOD” rated Alternative Provision based in Kingsbury (NW9), is looking for a committed and creative educator to join our team from September 2025. About Brent River College:Brent River College supports students in Key Stages 3 & 4 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. We are dedicated to re-engaging students through high expectations, strong relationships, and a supportive environment.Class sizes are small (6-10 students), and while our learners follow the national curriculum, our approach is highly personalised to meet diverse needs and unlock potential. The Role:As our Art Teacher, you will: Deliver inspiring and engaging Art lessons tailored to individual needsFoster creativity, confidence, and a sense of achievement in studentsContribute to a team committed to transforming young livesMaintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement What We’re Looking For:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Unqualified teachers with strong subject expertise will also be considered)Experience working in UK schools (preferably with SEMH or Alternative Provision settings)A valid Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce) registered on the Update Service – or willingness to apply for oneA positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with studentsA passion for inclusive education and belief in the power of creativity If you are ready to bring your skills, empathy, and experience to a setting where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
