To support this expansion, Aerolux is seeking an experienced Technical Author to join its engineering team and uphold the highest standards of documentation quality and compliance. This is a unique opportunity for a Technical Author to work at the heart of a CAA Part 21 approved organisation that supplies equipment to major global aircraft OEMs. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and revising key documents including Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with ATA iSpec 2200 and ASD Simplified Technical English (STE100). As a Technical Author, you’ll collaborate closely with design and engineering teams, interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings to produce first-class documentation that underpins airworthiness and reliability. With Aerolux’s rapid expansion, this position offers real upward mobility, long-term stability, and the chance to work on high-integrity aerospace products recognised worldwide. Key Responsibilities: • Create and maintain CMMs, SBs, ATPs, and related documentation • Ensure compliance with ATA iSpec 2200 and ASD-STE100 standards • Work with engineers to interpret technical data and drawings • Manage document control, configuration, and revision traceability • Support certification documentation and continuous improvement of processes Key Requirements: • Minimum five years’ aerospace experience as a Technical Author • Strong understanding of ATA iSpec 2200 and ASD-STE100 • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat • Familiarity with CAD data (preferably SolidWorks) • Excellent written English and attention to detail This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Technical Author to join a growing aerospace manufacturer with global reach.
