The Senior RF Design Manager is responsible for overseeing Hardware and Platform development projects, as well as Support Level-2 activities, with the support of the Technical Manager. Additionally, they will provide technical guidance and resource support to the Tech Leads responsible for various projects. This role entails comprehensive involvement in the entire product realisation process, including interaction with key customers and collaboration with a diverse cross-site team to deliver high-performance RF products to high-volume markets. Profile as a Senior RF Design Manager: The ideal candidate should possess a strong RF design background and a deep understanding of wireless markets, along with the IC and MCM technology necessary to meet cutting-edge product requirements. As a pivotal leader in product development, ensuring the consistent use of the latest design methodologies is crucial to guarantee high-quality, on-time product launches. Exceptional leadership and customer relationship skills are a must. Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Responsibilities as a Senior RF Design Manager: Accountable for managing the overall success of product development teams within the RF department. Drive and oversee RF product and IP development for TX/RX wireless modules in alignment with the marketing roadmap through regular team meetings and reviews. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the company throughout the entire product development life cycle, encompassing RF design, packaging, product, and test engineering. Work closely with Marketing and customers to define product specifications and requirements thoroughly. Ensure the use of the latest simulation methodologies and checklists to ensure robust, bug-free product development, along with meticulous tracking of product performance, improvements, and gaps throughout the development cycle. Participate in the recruitment, mentoring, and training of new team members. Provide regular status updates to senior management. Mentor and guide Technical Leads responsible for the technical execution of product development. Ensure the ownership of project team development strategy and deliverables, including securing the necessary resources (both personnel and tools) from project inception to mass production. Effectively communicate department and project progress and status through emails, reports, and presentations. Analyse RF data, lead investigations, update documentation, and promptly address project and customer issues as they arise. Requirements: Possess an engineering degree/MSc in Computing, Mathematics, or Engineering. Experience in RF Design, Testing, or System Design, with experience in a telecommunications environment being a valuable asset. Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong commitment to achieving goals, and the ability to thrive in a team-based environment. Exhibit in-depth knowledge of RF components, including Switch/LNA/PA. Show proficiency in RF simulation tools such as ADS, Cadence, and EM tools. Have experience with RF measurement techniques and equipment, including spectrum analysers and signal generators. Prior experience leading product development from inception to completion, including direct involvement in designing and simulating RF components using EM tools.
