Job description About the Role:Prospero Teaching is seeking a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) TA who has a patient and calm personality to join a secondary school in Widnes starting as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have dedication for going above and beyond for a child who presents SEN difficulties and challenging behaviour. This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life by providing dedicated support and encouragement. SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Widnes, WA8 Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Long-term Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Pay: Paid to scale Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to a child with SEN difficulties and challenging behaviour, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support classroom teachers with daily activities and help maintain a stimulating classroom atmosphere. Encourage student independence and self-confidence. Requirements: Previous experience working with SEND pupils. Experience working within a school or similar setting. Team Teach Qualification (desirable). Right to Work in the UK. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
