The company is a well managed enterprise with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products and services.Job DescriptionAs the Transport Manager, you willManage and optimise all transport operations across multiple sites, this will include route optimisationEnsure full compliance with transport regulations and company policies.Build effective reporting through the TMS, and other systems to support continuous improvementLead and support a team of transport and logistics professionals, building capabilityCollaborate with internal departments to align transport operations with business objectives.Negotiate with third-party transport providers to achieve favourable terms.Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to clients and partners.The Successful ApplicantA successful Transport Manager should have:Proven expertise in transport management within the industrial or manufacturing industry, and have had responsibility for transport operations, fleet / compliance (including maintenance), and financial performanceStrong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.Experience in developing and managing transport operations on a multi site basisExcellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to analyse data and improve operational efficiency using various systems (including TMS)Strong negotiation skills with external transport providers.Must be CPC qualifiedWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary in the range of £55,000 per annum.Comprehensive pension scheme.Permanent position offering job security.Opportunities to work in a supportive and professional environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Manager looking to advance their career in the industrial and manufacturing industry.
