Your newpany Hays are working on behalf of a leading public service employer in Derry to recruit an Administration Assistant to join their Development team. This is a temporary position, initially for 3 months with possible extension. It is an office-based role with weekly pay. Working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Your new role As Administration Assistant, you will provide an efficient and effective service to customers of the organisation in accordance with their policies and procedures. You will ensure that all duties are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that confidentiality is maintained at all times. As Administration Assistant, your key responsibilities will include managing aputerised information system. Answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries appropriately & professionally. Liaising with other department staff and external organisations. Assisting with the production, presentation and distribution of written documentation using Microsoft Office, including letters, memos, statistics, reports and presentations. Maintenance of the general filing systems. Recording and distribution of iing mail / post and dealing with routine correspondence and outgoing mail and distribution to relevant staff. Faxing and photocopying duties. You will be required to cover reception on a rota basis at lunchtimes and during periods of annual leave, sickness or training sessions.What you'll need to succeed As an Administration Assistant, essentially, you will have 6 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or an equivalent or higher educational standardAND one year's experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role.ORQCF (Previously NVQ) Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent or higher educational standard AND one year's experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role.ORThree years' experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role.In addition to the above, you will have previous experience dealing with confidential information, booking meetings and appointments for customers. You will be proficient in Microsoft suite, with excellent organisational,munication and attention-to-detail skills. What you'll get in return A temporary position with weekly pay
