We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established Housing Association in the West Midlands who are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join their expanding team on a three-month temporary contract.This role offers a competitive day rate of £220 CIS, along with the use of a company van and fuel card, enabling you to carry out your work efficiently across the region.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Carrying out painting and decorating tasks, including mould washes, stain blocking, surface preparation, and applying paints using brushes, rollers or spray equipmentDelivering high-quality finishes in occupied social housing, working with the Damp and Mould Team to ensure safe and effective solutionsTravelling between job sites, ensuring timely arrival, clear communication with residents, and excellent customer serviceMaintaining tools and equipment, following all health and safety procedures, and using appropriate protective gearCompleting work to agreed standards and deadlines, including occasional wallpaper hanging, while keeping residents updated on progressExperience required:Experience working within Social Housing, including occupied properties, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service to residentsAbility to carry out effective risk assessments, follow safety procedures, and maintain compliance and due diligence across all tasksStrong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and complete multiple tasks to a high standard within set timeframesGood communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external customers, including handling challenging or sensitive situations professionallyCompetent IT user with knowledge of Microsoft Office, alongside a valid UK driving licence for travel between sitesRewards and Benefits:Company van and fuel cardWorking hours:39 hours per weekMonday - Friday, 8am-4:30pmPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
