ABC Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in the Swadlincote area with prior experience supporting pupils of a primary age with Special Educational Needs to start from the beginning of the spring term, January 2026. About the role Working one to one with a student with Special educational needs, outside of the classroom setting. Supporting the child following their EHCP and school guidelines. Starting from January 2026 as a full-time member of staff with the potential to become a permanent member of the school. Working between school hours of 08:30-15:30, Monday to Friday up until the end of summer term, July 2026. About the school ABC Teachers work closely with schools across Swadlincote and surrounding areas, all offering a warm environment for supply staff coming into the school. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant - Swadlincote you will: Have had prior experience working effectively with a student with additional needs.Have a keen passion for building a strong working relationship with pupils and to provide them the best chance of developing.Be able to commit to full-time work.Ideally have a teaching assistant qualification, however with the right experience this is not compulsory.Provide references from your most recent and relevant employment.Possess or be willing to obtain an up-to-date DBS check registered with the update service. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
