Specialty doctor – Eating disorder Psychiatry – Southampton

CPL UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for a General Adult ED Specialty doctor, NHS based in Southampton, Hampshire area.The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Specialty doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to work full-time and it would be excellent for someone wanting to broaden their experience of community and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The team is well established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues. We require a Specialty Doctor with minimum 2 years’ experience in core psychiatry posts in AMH or CAMHS, including experience within eating disorders. Regular support will be available with the EDS Consultant and access to an EDS peer group can be facilitated. The role will include working with the physical health team for eating disorders and to provide psychiatric input to the team, including mental health act assessment for patients needing detention to specialist eating disorders units and to acute hospital for treatment of life threatening physical health conditions resulting from eating disorder. Please also see the attached sample job plan. 40 hours over 5 days, 09:00-17:30, with one day remote work possible by negotiation; likely to be Tuesdays.
