Engineering Shift Team Leader – needed in Tewkesbury, Salary: Competitive, based on experience, Hours: Full-time, rotating shifts (details below), Location: Tewkesbury, Contract: Temp to Perm Join a well-established production and distribution operation We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Shift Team Leader to support a busy, fast-paced site in Tewkesbury. This is a hands-on leadership role working across Production and Distribution, providing technical support, coaching engineers, and ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently. An electrical bias is essential, with opportunities to progress into wider leadership within the engineering function. What You’ll DoSupport the Engineering Manager with departmental goals and day-to-day operationsLead, mentor, and train engineers through practical, on-the-floor coachingCoordinate and deliver planned and preventative maintenance schedulesRepair and test electrical and mechanical production machineryCarry out electrical and mechanical fault findingComplete paperwork, records, and engineering documentationSupport and mentor Apprentices where requiredDeputise for the Engineering Manager when neededProvide holiday cover for engineers and support staffParticipate in the engineering call-out rota What We’re Looking ForMinimum apprenticeship qualification with an electrical biasExperience working with high-speed and automated machinery (FMCG desirable)Strong electrical fault-finding abilityAble to work independently with good initiativeSelf-motivated and adaptable to changing prioritiesStrong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skillsAble to work flexibly and meet tight deadlinesConfident communicator with strong people management or supervisory experience Shift Pattern Week 1: Monday–Saturday, 06:00–14:00Week 2: Monday–Friday, 13:45–21:45 What’s in It for YouCompetitive pay structureLong-term stability via a Temp-to-Perm routeOngoing development with support from an experienced management teamOpportunities for progression within the engineering functionTraining and mentoring opportunitiesA supportive working environment focused on teamwork and development
