Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in mental health? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Mental Health/Community Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic NHS client in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering part-time and potential full-time hours per week in a locum role. Essential Occupational therapists applying must have previous experience working with Mental health. As an OT you will be supported by a full MDT, including Medical Director, Specialty Doctors, Psychologist and Occupational Therapy Assistants; you will also have the support of the wider OT network Duties will include: Care-coordinating Attending MDT meetings Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs. Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress. Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions Working with other healthcare professionals The Successful Candidate should be/have: A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) They need to have experience of working in mental health due to the complex nature of the patients. An understanding of Occupational Therapy process/interventions and can take a “hands on” approach Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentation Full vaccination against COVID-19 What next?
