Job description Job Title: Art & Design / Technology TeacherArea: West Drayton, HillingdonStart Date: September 2025Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm)Salary: £170 – £250 per day (depending on experience)Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pmInterview: Video interview ASAP – First stage interviewBrief description: Teach Art, Design and Technology to KS3/KS4 students in an alternative provision setting About the school: A specialist alternative provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and those unable to thrive in mainstream schools. Focus on practical, creative learning and small group teaching. About the role: Deliver creative and hands-on lessons in Art & Design and/or Technology. Engage students through project-based learning, promoting self-expression and skill development. We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to: Teach Art, Design and/or Technology across KS3 and KS4 Develop practical, accessible lessons to suit diverse learners Foster creativity and confidence through personalised support Work effectively with support staff and pastoral teams Requirements – The ideal candidate would have: QTS, QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification Experience teaching Art, DT, or a creative subject at secondary level Understanding of SEMH needs or experience in alternative provision (desirable) Creative, flexible, and inclusive teaching approach Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
