Our story: Our Trust is a unique Multi Academy Trust which consists of three special schools, three primary schools, a Training & Development Service and an Outreach Service. Our Special School is part of the family of schools which has been recognised as outstanding in its last three inspections. Our staff have developed some fantastic practices, and we are continually striving to further develop the learning opportunities we provide for our pupils. Pupils in our Special School have severe learning difficulties and many have autism. Every child and young person is an individual and we work hard to tailor our curriculum to meet their needs. We are recruiting for: ·Teachers to work at our Special School (Primary or Secondary site). ·You will be teaching pupils who have severe learning difficulties, in groups of 8-12 pupils. The work is intensive requiring flexibility, sensitivity, patience and resilience. ·An ability to work with and engage all pupils, with creativity and passion towards the role is essential. ·You will be part of a small but effective team where communication and professionalism are paramount. The work, whilst challenging, is extremely rewarding. ·Primarily you will be required to teach, produce schemes of work and lesson plans. Building rapport with pupils/families/carers is key to this role and you will need to liaise with a variety of agencies to problem-solve pupil needs and barriers to learning.
