Accountant - KnutsfordExciting business going through a period of continued growthAbout Our ClientMichael Page are working with an industry leading business based in Knutsford as they go through a period of continued growth. This Accountant role will be crucial in providing timely and accurate financial information for operating businesses and for Group reporting.Job DescriptionDuties include:Completion of month end, seeing the process through from start to finishPreparation and posting of invoices, cashbooks and journalsUsing the trial balance to create a P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statementProviding useful insight and commentary via variance analysis of actual performance versus budgetBalance sheet reconciliations and completion of group reporting packManagement of debtors and credit controlWork closely with our operational business leaders to provide financial supportWork closely with the FP&A Manager on production of budgets and forecasts, including weekly cash forecastingBanking and payments, including monthly payment runKPI reporting for operational businessesPreparation of audit informationStatutory accounts and tax, including corporation tax and VAT returnsAdhere to Group policies and promote best practice around the GroupThe Successful ApplicantThe candidate should have:Previous experience within a similar role - RequiredExperience liaising with senior stakeholders - RequiredStrong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel RequiredACCA/CIMA part-qualified - DesirableAttention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Excellent organisational and time management skills.What's on OfferThis role will offer:Competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum.Genuine career progression opportunities25 days annual leaveFlexibility around working hoursCompany pension schemeAccess to continuous professional development and training resources.Study support package
