Transport Planner – Dartford Shift: 4 on / 4 off | 8am – 8pm Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE + Benefits Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next career move? We’re working with a leading logistics business who are seeking a motivated planner to join their busy operations team based in Dartford. The Role As a Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing daily collection and delivery schedules, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and first-class customer service. Working on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (8am–8pm), you’ll play a key part in maximising vehicle utilisation, reducing empty miles, and keeping operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain efficient daily transport plans to meet customer KPIs. Allocate drivers, manage rotas, and arrange agency cover where required. Communicate clearly with drivers, subcontractors, and customers. Monitor live operations, resolving issues such as breakdowns or delays. Ensure compliance with transport legislation, Working Time Directive, and driver hours. Keep accurate records and data entry in transport systems. Develop strong working relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams. About You We’re looking for someone who has: Proven experience in a Transport Planner, Logistics Planner, or similar role. Strong knowledge of transport compliance, driver hours, and Working Time Directive. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure. IT-literate with experience using transport management systems.
